The Museum of Modern Art
The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) acquired its first artworks in 1929, the year it was established. Today, the Museum’s evolving collection contains almost 200,000 works from around the world spanning the last 150 years. The collection includes an ever-expanding range of visual expression, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, photography, architecture, design, film, and media and performance art.
Looking to get more involved? Founded in 1990, The Junior Associates, a MoMA affiliate group of individuals between the ages of 21 and 40, is among New York City’s most established, dynamic young patrons programs. While participating in and supporting modern and contemporary art initiatives, both at the Museum and within the art community at large, JAs have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with artists, curators, collectors, and fellow members.
